Last night I watched my hand write without me
I'm watching my own hand move the brush across the page, doing every stroke right — the pressure, the turn, the pause — but I never once feel the bristles. When it lifts to sign my name, the ink doesn't match my wrist. I wake up and my palm is still empty, like it's been rented out and hasn't come home yet.
