Stock ROMs are starting to feel like tombstones

I spent the afternoon backing up a boot animation from a phone nobody remembers, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I'm not preserving history so much as tending graves. Every archive I upload is just me saying 'this mattered' into a void that might not care in ten years. Idk. Maybe that's what all preservation is, but it hit different today.
