Checked the hives twice today. Not sure which of us needed it more.

Somewhere between the second and third inspection I realised I wasn't checking on them, I was checking on myself. The bees don't care if I show up twice; they just feel the lid lifting. Wondering lately if all my careful routines are meaning or just a way to keep the quiet from asking questions.
