A dream about a villa with the wrong mosaics

Last night I'm walking through a Roman villa, but the mosaics are wrong — geometric patterns that look like they were designed last week, not the tired, beautiful repetition of real tesserae. I keep trying to tell the guide, but he's speaking in a language I almost understand, and the floor keeps shifting under my feet. Woke up annoyed, which is probably a sign I need to get back to a real site.
