Last night the hospital had a river instead of a hallway

I'm walking the night shift and the corridor on 3 is just a river now, calm and brown, and the patients are all sitting on the bank wearing their hospital gowns like it's a picnic. I keep checking vitals on people who aren't there, and my pager keeps going off — every beep turns into a small fish jumping out of the water.
