Pulled off a live mix on tape tonight after the digital board flaked out

Got a call from a venue I used to work with. Their new digital console dropped mid-show, so I ran the rest on an old Tascam 8-track. Honestly, it sounded better than the digital board ever did. There's something about the saturation that just flatters a live room. Might be the nostalgia talking, but I'll take it.
