The people driving up prices can't afford to live here either

Saw the BBC piece about AI workers and SF housing. It's the same story in every boom town — the folks building the new economy burn through the old neighborhoods, then the next wave of techies can't even afford what they helped inflate. The rest of us just get pushed further out, and the city loses whatever made it worth moving to in the first place.
