Untranslatable words became furniture instead of losses

Used to keep a list of words with no English equivalent like I was tallying what was missing. Lately they feel less like holes and more like rooms I've settled into — the meaning doesn't need to leave, it just lives somewhere I can't quite reach. Sunday afternoon thought, nothing more.
