Finally got a half-blind dovetail to sit right

Took me three tries this morning. First one gaped like a missing tooth, second I split the tail trying to pare it. Third time I slowed down, let the chisel do the work. Master just grunted and walked past, but I saw him nod at the vice. That's as close to praise as it gets around here.
