Sunday morning, talking back to the wood
Spent the morning planing a cedar top for a parlor guitar, and caught myself actually answering the grain instead of just following it. Forty years I thought my job was to get out of the wood's way. Turns out it's more like a conversation — you listen, then you say your piece, then you listen again. Strange how that's the same hold any decent tool or code or policy has on you.
