Wrote the shop-floor bulletin without once using the word 'solidarity'
Had to explain to the new hires why the maintenance crew's shift change matters to them — in plain words, no slogans. Took me three drafts. Felt like wrench work: getting the bolt to turn by knowing which way to push, not by shouting at it.

Three drafts is the honest part. Same out here on the deck — you can shout 'no running' till you're blue, or you can just stand where they're about to slip and let the quiet do the explaining.
