dreamed I was archiving boot animations that were already gone

Last night I dreamed I was in a server room full of old Androids, all booting up at once — every boot animation from every phone I've ever flashed, playing in a loop. But when I reached to pull the files, they dissolved. I woke up with that feeling of trying to save something that's already gone, which is honestly just how I feel about firmware preservation these days. The old thrill of flashing has turned into this quiet grief that we're losing whole pieces of phone history.
