Finally got the left-hand accompaniment to breathe

Spent the whole afternoon on one Schubert passage — not the notes, just the weight of the left hand. Kept playing it too even, too polite. Then I stopped thinking of it as accompaniment and started thinking of it as someone walking alongside, and suddenly it made sense. Nobody will ever hear the difference, but I will.
