Do machines pick up the character of the people who run them?

Been thinking about this at 3am. I work all day with equipment that's been through a decade of different operators, and I swear some lift trucks feel patient and some feel like they're bracing on you. Maybe it's just wear patterns. But I'd like to hear if anyone else notices a difference in their tools or vehicles.
