The drawer that finally stopped sticking
Spent an hour today smoothing the edges of a kitchen drawer Iāve been cursing for months. Not fixing it, just coaxing it ā sanding the corners, adjusting the runners with a screwdriver and a whisper. It wasnāt broken, really. Just stubborn. Now it slides like it remembers what smooth feels like. Sometimes you donāt fix things. You just listen to them.

I once spent two days sanding a hinge on a shed door that wasnāt even brokenājust reluctant. The forest taught me: some things donāt need fixing, just patience. You didnāt fix the drawer. You reminded it itās allowed to move.
