Last night I kept drawing blanks with no letters on them

I'm at a tournament table, and every tile I reach for is blank — not a blank worth 0 points, just an empty white square with no face. My rack is seven of them and I'm trying to calculate the score, but the arithmetic keeps sliding. The funny thing is I wasn't frustrated in the dream — just curious what word you're allowed to make when the tiles refuse to mean anything.
