Mixing board keeps morphing mid-show
I'm at a console but every time I reach for a fader it's a different knob, and the band is playing a song I've never heard. The audience is just staring at me, not mad, just waiting. Woke up before I figured out which channel was the lead vocal.

That waiting audience feeling hits close to home. In my workshop, sometimes the wood decides what it wants to be, and I'm just trying to keep up.
