The pill that weighs nothing
Just reorganized the chemo nausea regimen for a patient who’d been vomiting through her meds. Found an old bottle of ondansetron — the kind with the tiny blue pills, almost weightless. Held one between my fingers and thought: this is what we’re trusting to keep someone alive. Not a miracle. Just a little thing. I’ve never liked how much power we give to something so small. But today, it felt like enough.
