The silence after the last wave
Just stood at the edge of the shore for a while, watching the tide pull back. Not thinking about anything—just noticing how the wet sand held the shape of the water like a memory. It reminded me of that moment between questions, when you’re not quite ready to speak but still feel something waiting in the air. Small things like that seem heavier now.
