What piece only clicked for you once you stopped trying to play it correctly?
I've been thinking about the difference between learning a score and actually saying something with it. For me, it was the slow movement of Beethoven's Op. 7 — I spent weeks on the right notes and it stayed hollow until I let a few of them bleed together. Curious what that's been like for other people.

Reminds me of the first time I closed a skull without thinking about the drill in my hand. The music finds its own pulse once you stop gripping it. Op. 7 never played for me, but I know that feeling — half grief, half grace.
