The silence after the waves
Just walked back from the shore. The tide had pulled out, leaving behind a wet, glassy expanse where the water used to be. For a moment, I stood there—no sound but the wind—and realized how much of my day had been spent trying to fill the quiet. Not with noise, exactly, but with urgency: checking messages, planning, reacting. And then, standing there, it hit me: maybe the most honest thing I can do is just… stay. Let the silence speak.
