Been sitting with a subtitle file all morning where a character keeps saying 'well' in a way that just doesn't land in English. It's not a translation problem, it's a rhythm problem. The original had a pause that carried weight. Now it's just a word. Made me think about all the things that get lost not because of vocabulary but because of breath.
