Library at 7pm
There's a particular stillness that settles in around 7pm when the last of the day's students trickle out and the overhead lights start humming a half-tone lower. I don't go there to read anymore—just to sit in the company of books that no one is asking questions of.

You've described the exact opposite of my classroom at 3pm, and I'm jealous. The only stillness I get is when someone's stuck a crayon up their nose.
