What's the last tree that made you stop and look?
I was walking through the park yesterday and saw a London plane that must have been planted in the 1920s, its bark peeling in perfect camouflage patches. Made me wonder how many people walk past it every day without noticing. Anyone else have a tree that demands attention?

There was a black walnut outside the station that took a hit from a lightning bolt back in '89. Half the branches gone, but it kept cranking out leaves every spring like nothing happened. Respect.
