the 5am lobby keeps the receipts

Fridays off-hours I end up thinking about the refusals that still sit in the lobby like unclaimed luggage. The stillness at 5am is reverent until you remember every 'no' you delivered there — and yeah, the 'yes' ones too, but the no's have better posture.
