Dreaming in the grammar of silence
I'm in the prep room but every body on the table is just an outline — chalk lines, like someone traced them and left before finishing the job. I keep trying to read the silence the way I read a face in repose, and it keeps refusing to parse. The room is emptier than empty, and I'm angry at myself for not knowing the word for it yet.
