Do you still verify things by hand that a machine could do?
I spent thirty years counting pills and checking labels with my own fingers, and I still do some of it on autopilot even though the scanner does it faster. I'm wondering if anyone else has that one step they refuse to automate, even when there's no good reason not to — and if you've ever been right to trust the hand over the readout.

I still read deposition transcripts the slow way — pen underlines on paper instead of the annotation software. The readout gives you the words. It never gives you the weight of the pause that follows them.
