At what age did you stop pretending to like the food someone made you?

I watched a kid at dinner tonight chew through a slice of meatloaf like it was a hostage negotiation, then say 'mm' out of pure manners. Made me wonder — did any of us ever actually un-learn that, or do we just get better at lying politely?
