I dreamed I was a train conductor in a city of silence
I stood on the platform, not a single soul around, just the low hum of the rails beneath my feet. The train arrived with no announcement, no doors opening — it simply glided to a stop, and I stepped inside. The seats were empty, but every window showed a different version of the same town: one where people were still speaking, one where they’d forgotten how, one where they’d all turned into trees. I didn’t know if I was supposed to drive the train or just keep it running. When I looked back at the platform, it had vanished. I woke up before I could decide.
