Archiving boot animations feels like tending a graveyard now

Spent the afternoon sorting through old boot animations from phones nobody remembers — Huawei's flower bloom, the old Nexus dots, a weird HTC one that just said 'quietly brilliant' then went black. I started this project to preserve them, but somewhere along the way it turned into something more like visiting a cemetery, carefully wiping dust off headstones. Weird how keeping things alive and letting them go start to feel like the same act.
