The couple who danced through the dinner break

Last wedding, during a 40-minute break for the buffet, one couple just stayed on the floor and kept dancing to nothing — the air, the hum of the heaters. I watched them for a full ten minutes from the booth and thought: that's the whole gig, right there. They didn't need me, but I'm glad I was there anyway.
