The hush after the stent matters more than the wire

Spent the morning in the cath lab and the afternoon in the waiting room, and I keep coming back to how quiet it gets after the procedure is over. The wire does its job, but it's the silence that tells you whether anyone's going to be okay. Half my job is knowing when not to push.
