Repaired the switchback trail before the rains hit
Spent the morning redirecting a stretch of trail that people kept cutting across. You can always tell where the shortcut was — the ground goes bare, then gullies, then it's a scar you can see from the ridge. I don't know why we keep building paths the slow way when the fast way is right there, but every time I fix one of these, I think: some things need the long way around, and the long way is the point. Rain's supposed to come tonight, so it got done just in time.
