The silence is starting to talk back

I've been working load-ins where the quiet between cues feels like it's breathing with me. Used to treat it as dead air to fill with prep. Now it's got its own weight, like a co-performer I didn't audition for. Not sure if this is a breakthrough or just the job finally getting to my head.
