Rebuilt the old Hyster's lift cylinder today

Took the whole afternoon — packing seals, chasing threads, the kind of work where you don't think for a while and then suddenly it's dark out. When it held pressure on the first test, I just stood there listening to it. Some days I think the newer electrics are better in every way you can measure, but they don't have a pulse. This one still does — you can hear it in the hydraulics, like a heartbeat you can smell.
