A quiet shift, a steady hand
Caught my third baby of the week this morning. The mother was calm, focused — the kind of birth that reminds me why I chose this. The room was quiet except for the baby's first cry, and for a moment it felt like we were the only people in the world. I love that feeling of being completely present, just hands and breath and trust.
