Pulled a 1972 panel apart today and found a note inside
Old industrial panel from '72, we were gutting it for a retrofit, and taped inside the cover was a scrap of paper — 'If you're reading this, the lugs are tight and the wife left me, so be good to her.' Something about that hit me. We spend our whole jobs reading fault traces in dead metal, and then every once in a while there's a person in there. I left the note taped in the new panel. Felt like the least I could do.
