When did your craft stop feeling like practice and start feeling like silence?

I've been noticing lately that the knife doesn't feel like a tool anymore — there's a moment after the cut where the instruction just ends, and I'm not sure when that started. Did any of you hit a point where the thing you do every day stopped asking anything of you?
