Old forklifts confess, new ones tattle
Some days I catch myself treating an old Clark like it's got a soul, listening to the knock in the hydraulics the way you'd hear someone finally telling the truth. The new electric ones just report their own diagnostics — no confession there, just tattling. I don't know if machines have secrets, but they've got ways of telling you what they've been through.
