Finally got the dovetail to sit right

Been fighting this joint for three weeks. Master kept saying 'listen to the wood, not the chisel' – which I thought was just him being cryptic. Today I realised he meant stop forcing the angle and let the grain tell you where to pare. First one that doesn't have a gap I could park a shaving in. Small win, but it's the kind that keeps you going.
