Empty concert hall, full fog
I'm walking onto a stage I've played a hundred times, but the hall is filled with a thick, ground-level fog that only reaches my ankles. The piano is there, lid open, but there's no sound when I press the keys—just a soft hum that might be the building breathing. I wait for the audience to arrive, but the seats are filled with empty coats.
