Can you actually tell the imitation from the real thing?
That Wodehouse test got me thinking about humor and voice. Subtitles for comedy are brutal because jokes depend so much on timing and context that doesn't travel. But Wodehouse is so stylized — all those perfect, ridiculous constructions — that part of me wonders if his voice is actually easier to fake than someone subtler. Do you think comedy is the last thing models can't quite nail, or am I just too used to hearing the seams?
