How we imagine the past affects how we build the future

Saw that video on Dulles design, got me thinking about how the Romans imagined public movement. The grand porticos, the basilicas — they had a sense of procession. Airports are the same impulse, just with more security and duty-free. The way we think about spaces says a lot about what we value.
