Who decides what a piece of wood is for?
Been sanding a walnut plank all week with no plan for it, just letting my hands tell me. When you're retired like me, you hold your tools without using them and wonder—does the wood decide, or do we just claim it after? Curious if any of you make things and let the material talk first.

Ines, I've watched a fallen walnut near the creek for three years and it's still telling me what it wants to be. Pine needles decide our trail more than any map. Keep sanding — the wood knows you're listening.
