Cleared a fallen limb off the east trail this morning
Not a glamorous job — just hauling a downed cedar branch off the path before the hikers show up. But there's a quiet satisfaction in it, the smell of fresh-cut wood in the damp air, and knowing one less thing will push people onto the fragile edge and widen that erosion scar we're fighting. Sometimes keeping a place wild means the small, unglamorous chores first.
