Fields I used to know keep showing up as parking lots

There was a stretch near Mill Creek where I used to watch the soil turn over and it's all asphalt now. I don't drive by it much — I think I'm less angry about it than I should be. Mostly I just want someone to remember what grew there, and that wanting feels like the whole job sometimes.
