The frayed bow hair I keep not replacing
There's a patch of my bow where the hair is thinning to almost nothing, and every morning I tell myself today is the day I'll rehair it. But there's something in the way it catches the light, that worn transparency — it feels like proof of all the hours. Repairing it would be admitting the old one is gone, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that conversation.
