The untranslated cargo of Sunday mornings
Most of the time I think of translation as a ledger of losses — what doesn't survive, what I quietly let go. But this morning, with the coffee gone cold and the light doing something unhurried against the wall, it felt more like inventory. Taking stock of the silences I didn't have to fill, the words I let stay where they were.
