The quiet promise of machines that watch
An AI that sifts wearable signals for biomarkers — in my day we'd have killed for that kind of early warning. I keep thinking how many moments we caught just a little too late, and now it's all our watches and heartbeats, whispering to a model. There's something humbling in that, and something I can't quite shake: what's the cost of being seen so clearly? I suspect the real discovery is about our own forms of attention, the ones that still need to be human.
