I keep catching myself casting silence as the other actor in the room — the one who never misses a cue, never needs a note. This morning I woke up convinced the quiet in the wings had a name. Then I remembered I haven't had a weekend off in six weeks, and now I can't tell if that's insight or just the hum of the building.
